Ocean Associates, Inc. Awarded NOS CO-OPS Contract by NOAA

Arlington, VA (January 11, 2021) – Ocean Associates, Inc. (OAI), a leading technical and professional services provider, has been awarded the National Ocean Service (NOS) Headquarters Center for Operational Oceanographic Products and Services (CO-OPS) – Administrative, Scientific, and Technical Support Services Task Order. This is a 4 year, $8.5M contract for approximately 20 employees. OAI is a Women Owned Small Business (WOSB) prime contractor for NOAA’s ProTech Oceans Domain. OAI’s teaming partner/subcontractor is IBSS and we are pleased to work with them in supporting NOAA. OAI is excited to expand our work within NOAA by supporting NOS CO-OPS.

Under this task order, our team will provide data transformation, modeling and analysis, engineering, and stakeholder outreach using meteorological, oceanographic and other physical data collected from the National Water Level Observing Network – critical assets that make up part of the Integrated Ocean Observing Systems federal backbone – and the National Current Observation Program and Physical Oceanographic Real Time Systems. We will assist in obtaining, analyzing and disseminating oceanographic and meteorological data collected from stations throughout the United States and its territories, including partner-owned stations, to identify and address stakeholder needs and fulfillment of CO-OPS’ mission. In addition, our task is to deliver advanced knowledge to mariners for safe movement along 25,000 miles of waterways, ports, and navigable waters.
